MSPTM Advanced Practitioner is a stand alone 1 day course that is run sequentially within the same week as MSPTM Foundation and MSPTM Practitioner. The course builds on the knowledge and experience gained by delegates building key programme documents during Foundation and Practitioner course exercises.
The MSPTM Advanced Practitioner exam is a 2½ hour open book exam based on a complex healthcare based case study set by the APMG. The exam case study is the subject of all case study exercises undertaken in preparation for the Advanced Practitioner exam. An Advanced Practitioner qualification requires a 50% pass mark.
Delegates are provided with the APMG exam case study 2 weeks in advance of the course start date to give them time to read and understand some of the complexities of the scenario. During the course delegates, working in collaboration with other course delegates, are engaged all morning in the development of key MSPTM documents such as a Programme Organisational structure (including the Change Teams), a Blueprint, Projects Dossier, Risk Register and Transition Plan. These case studies facilitate each delegate's comprehension of the case study so that each one is briefed adequately to write the Advanced Practitioner exam in the afternoon session.
This course is accredited by the APMG who are the examining body for MSPTM and responsible for all aspects of the provision of exams including setting, marking, feedback and appeals. Scoll Methods, as an accredited training organisation, acts as its agent in providing administrative facilities
