What is P3O
P3O is structured guidance designed to assist an organisation implement or re-energise permanent or temporary Portfolio, Programme and/or Project Offices.
P3O...
...Is “Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices”
...Is the UK Government Best Practice standard for effective Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices
...Is designed to assist with the implementation of anything between a single, temporary Project or Programme Office, through to the implementation of a combination of temporary and permanent Project, Programme and Portfolio Offices.
We help delegates by providing practical advice on how to implement or re-energise the support structures for an organisation's Portfolio, Programme and Project management. Our practical approach has been recognised by the examining body whose course reviewer stated: "The design of the courseware is very different to that normally provided by Accredited Training Organisations (and) was well thought through."
Sometimes known as an organisation's Programme Management Office (PMO) or a Project Support Office (PSO), P3O Models support the delivery of your organisation's total change activity. The course includes helping delegates to understand the different possible P3O Models, the arguments for their adoption, and what approach to follow for their implementation. During the course we focus delegates on applying P3O to their own organisation so that they gain practical skills by using their new knowledge to handle real issues. It is recommended that anyone attending this course has a basic understanding of project and programme management principles.
